Type of Requisition: RegularClearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: NonePublic Trust/Other Required: NACI (T1)Job Family: Web DevelopmentGeneral Dynamics IT is seeking a Web Information Architect to support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA's) National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI).We are seeking a Web Information Architect to join our web development team to support both front and back-end development. The primary focus of this position is on organizing, structuring, and labeling content in an effective and sustainable way to ensure NCEI’s users are able to quickly and easily find information. In addition to the technical skills listed below, the ideal candidate will work effectively in a highly collaborative Agile environment and exhibit a self-motivated, can-do approach to their work with vigor, quality, and determination. The Web Information Architect will:Be a member of an Agile Scrum team to implement business, technical, and functional requirements for a website consolidation and modernization effort.Manage refinement and execution of the site plan for the organization of legacy web content, enhancement of search features, and the consolidation of disparate scientific websites into a single site that exhibits a unified brand for NCEI.Ensure that web designs, theming, and branding are consistent with the architectural roadmapSpearhead website management of user authorization, Google analytics, search.gov awareness, and related website administrative duties.Assist contract management with managing team dynamics including the hiring and onboarding of new team members.Analyzes customer requirements to provide websites according to the client's moderately complex specifications and needs.Coordinates with graphics and web designers to develop web applications and websites.Tests and makes recommendations for web applications and websites for next level production.Maintains and recommends updates to websites ensuring changes are implemented withoutdisruption.Creates and implements contingency plans in preparation of website outages.Maintains current knowledge of relevant programming that will enhance web applications and websites overall functionality.Required SkillsExperience with site structure, organization of online content, and taxonomySearch engine optimizationProficiency working with REST APIs in a microservices architectureExperience with JSON and/or XML file formatsProficiency with HTML, CSS/SASS, and JavaScriptExperience with Drupal 8 and/or 9, or other content management systemsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbalStrong time management and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and cross-functionally with attention to detailPreferred SkillsExperience developing and customizing Drupal 8 custom modulesFamiliarity with Agile Scrum development processFamiliarity with GraphQLFamiliarity with React, Angular, or other JavaScript frameworksFamiliarity with Jenkins, Puppet or some other CI/CD toolFamiliarity with Jira, Google Tables, or other issue/project tracking toolFamiliarity with cloud computing and practices.
