Position Title: Business Analyst Basic

Location: Newark, DE

Expected Duration (possible extension): 06 Months

Rate: $39/hr on W2.

This is hybrid role with 15days onsite and 15days remote.

Description:

The Stock Borrow Loan (SBL) desk is part of the Prime Finance Organization. SBL undertakes various trade structures ranging from short coverage, financing, conduit lending, dividend yield enhancement and the facilitation of longer-term non-standard structured deals. To support this, SBL borrows stock from counterparties based in various countries around the world and flows this stock through multiple legal entities onto the relevant risk entity.

The Stock Borrow Loan Middle office's main function is to facilitate and control the end to end life cycle of Equity Borrow / Loan activity in NA. Liaison with external counterparties & traders on a day-to-day basis. Regulatory reporting, client onboarding and collateral (cash and stock) management are the main functions of the team along with the control and clearance of all exceptions and cash flows that the trade lifecycle creates.

Responsibilities:

Expectations for the role include but are not limited to:

Monitoring of Trades for completion, Mark to Market management, Contract Comparison and related breaks management
Position Management and Exception Management
Proactive Fails management, Full and Partial's Return management, Recall management and related Trade Amendments
Oversight of Borrows throughout the day and supporting late borrows. Oversight of Collateral management and Pricing. Research Pricing anomalies and reconcile.
Proactive entitlement monitoring of Corporate Action/ Events
A functional understanding of the Securities Lending business and operations process will provide a strong advantage, but we are open to candidates with operations experience in financial services business of similar scope and complexity

What does a "typical" day look like in this role?

o Our core hours are 8am to 5pm but can fluctuate based on the needs of our team.

o Our main resolve is to serve our clients who are the trading desks in NY, EMEA and APAC.

o Most of the day is spent agreeing trade details and exchanging collateral for new trades, mark to market movements and break reconciliation for both domestic and international markets.

o The most important facet is in developing good business relationships with the trading desks and our counterparts on the street.

o Attention to detail is paramount in daily processing and communications.

What specific work experience (or skills) would stand out on a resume?

o Proven Excel Skills above basic

o Previous experience in CIB operations or settlement spaces

o Previous experience with another major bank on the street

o Proven leadership experience

o We are currently in a hybrid model moving towards safely returning to the office

Our campus is in Newark DE so it would be necessary to be within travel distance of Newark DE for the future return to office plans.

Once people return to the office is the plan for this role to return as well?

o Yes

Is there an option for this role to go FTE?

o A possibility but cannot be guaranteed as it's based on our head count availability
