Role Summary:The CMC Value Stream’s proprietary technology uses chemical process at many of our sites. EHS and Process Safety Management are core to our business success, and we are committed to committed to establishing and implementing robust systems to drive best-in-class performance. The Chemical Process Engineer will report to the Senior Operation Management Staff Manager and will demonstrate expertise in complex, highly technical concepts associated with the chemical manufacturing process.Essential Responsibilities:

Provide functional leadership in Chemical Vapor Infiltration including storage, transportation, management and distribution systems responsible for furnace loading improvements, modeling and overall optimization of runs

Support production of CVI parts and participate in process engineering reviews to ensure system capability

Lead Management of Change (MOC's), and Pre-Start Up Safety Reviews (PSSR's) and facilitate PHAs

Establish operating procedures and provide training for entry-level engineers, maintenance crews and operations teams

Drive Process Safety Management (PSM) in high-risk operations coordinates succession planning through documentation, curriculum and by partnering with various departments

Own the technology of the CVI process – process chemistry, safe upper and lower limits for temperatures, pressures, flows or compositions and evaluates the consequences of deviations including those affecting the safety and health of the employees

Provide functional support in chemical vapor infiltration including storage, transportation, management and distribution systems

Review cycle runs, and perform data analysis to help improve CVI chemical process as well as perform correlation studies on weight gain, material properties as needed

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)

Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Production, Process, and Equipment

Desired Characteristics:

Bachelor's degree in chemical Engineering from an accredited university or college preferable

PID (Proportional Integral Derivative) Controllers

and Distributed Control System

Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact

Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously

Effective problem identification and solution skills

Proven analytical and organizational ability
