DescriptionRobert Half Finance has an exciting position available for an Accounting Clerk for a well respected, growing organization. Candidate must have the ability to perform duties such as, matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This position is a full-time role and is located in the Newark, Delaware area.What you get to do every single day
Classify documents with the proper expenditure codes and accounting codes
Carry out additional related duties and help with special projects on an as-needed basis
Support accounts payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
Resolve discrepancies, and create correction documents if needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts
Handle Accounts Receivable tasks: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance
Create statements and reports that require the use of a number of sources
Help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other general accounting projects
Add financial information to journals and ledgers
Requirements
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds
Spreadsheet and ERP system experience recommended
Accurate, swift, data entry abilities
Conventional Loans experience
