As a part of the Enterprise Analytics Hub (EAH), enables development of strategic recommendations for improving health care quality and affordability for members. Primary duties may include but are not limited to:- Understands enterprise goals and objectives and developing informatics strategies aligned with those goals.
- Works with internal and external stakeholders to determine how the enterprise will apply health informatics methods and standards to health information technology and business solutions.
- Translates industry trends and detailed understanding of relevant business processes, goals, and strategies into recommendations for program development and action plans.
- Provides business expertise regarding the appropriate use of data elements and cooperates with reporting personnel from other areas to establish, maintain and monitor these common business rules.
- Leads projects through coordination and negotiation with internal and external clients in a highly matrixed environment.
- Collaborates with business user to define media, frequency, and audience for distribution of information.
- Acts as a source of direction, training, and guidance for less experienced staff.
- Focuses on developing action plans, organizing and aligning the enterprise, specific project work, and client knowledge.
- Requires a BS/BA degree, a minimum of 5 years of experience in analysis and reporting, a minimum of 3 years in direct patient care delivery environment, and a minimum of 2 years of broad-based practical business experience within a business unit; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
- RN required but not required to have active license.
- Must be able to work EST zone.
- Position is work from home; must reside within reasonable distance to an Anthem office.
- PhD preferred.
- Experience in managed care and deep knowledge of clinical data standards is preferred.
- Understanding of multiple data sources and formats is strongly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, planning, and oral and written communication skills strongly preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels within the organization strongly preferred.
- Advanced degree in business, science, or health research preferred.
- Ability to provide consultation, present materials, and influence and negotiate with all levels of management is strongly preferred.
