Activities Assistant / Van Driver

We are seeking a Program Assistant and Van Driver, who will be responsible for implementing assigned activities and programs to meet the needs, interests, and capabilities of the residents within the community and drive them to doctor's appointments, local events and shopping.  Reporting to the Director of Programming, this position assumes the responsibility to engage residents to participate in activities and programs in Independent, Assisted, and Memory Care.  If you have a clean driving record, transferable skills working with Seniors, we will provide training!Schedule:20 hours Activities; 20 hours drivingResponsibilities and DutiesAssists with planning and implementing activities that meet the needs and interests of the residentsAssists with creating resident histories and profiles with resident/family involvementAssumes responsibility for set-up and clean-up of daily activities scheduledAssists with creating a monthly social program calendar and distributes them to community personnel and residentsKeeps residents engaged between planned social activities.Drive to and from medical appointments, local events and shopping trips
