OverviewSOSI is currently looking for an experienced TS/SCI cleared Network Engineer to join our team in Stuttgart, Germany.The successful candidate will receive competitive wages, health plans and the opportunity to join a company that still believes every employee counts.Responsibilities
Act as lead network engineer for EUCOM coalition systems participating in working groups and conferences.
Demonstrate ability to develop and give PowerPoint presentations on coalition networking topics to US and partner nation personnel.
Provide over-the-shoulder familiarization during the handover of networks to Operations and Maintenance personnel.
Establish network information requirements in developing enterprise-wide/ large-scale networking infrastructure (CAN, MAN, WAN).
Develop and nurture working relationships with the NATO and non-NATO EUCOM Mission Partners.
Design architecture to include the software, hardware and communications to support the total requirements, as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.
Ensure that the network/transport layers of the common operating environment are compliant.
Evaluate analytically and systematically problems of work flow and network usage, organization and planning and develop appropriate corrective action.
Configure, test, and maintain LAN/WAN/MAN networks, equipment and related services.
Identify, diagnose, and resolve network problems.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks.
Analyze network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements.
Resolve interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms including email, file transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing, authentication, and the like.
May perform network administration duties as directed.
May administer network security and/or maintain network security appliances.
Participate in special projects as required.
Qualifications
An active in-scope TS/SCI security clearance
Current CCNA certification.
CompTIA Security+ certification or CompTIA CASP level III certification.
Must be able to obtain certification as a Technical Expert by the German government under the Technical Expert Status Accreditation (TESA) process.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience performing Network Engineering on DoD Networks
High School Diploma with eleven (11) years of IT related experience, OR Associate's degree in with seven (7) plus years of IT related experience, OR Bachelor's degree in with 5 (five) plus years of IT related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with HAIPE Type-I IP encryption devices.
CCNP Certification
Knowledge of BGP, VPNs, IPsec/GRE tunnels, and troubleshooting network issues.
Knowledge of US Mission Command Systems (MCS), and NATO Functional Area Services (FAS) applications is a plus
Experience with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS)
Recent experience supporting MNIS networks/systems
Working ConditionsThe work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment. The work location is a government facility located on a militaryinstallation in Stuttgart, Germany supporting a DoD customer.
