We are recruiting for multiple

Java Developers to work in support of a financial services organization. Qualified candidates will have expertise with J2EE and experience working in an Agile development environment conducting software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging. Prior experience developing risk decision software and/or financial transaction products is a plus.

Location Note: The team is currently working remotely due to COVID-19 and will be located on-site once health precautions are lifted. Candidates must be located in the commuting area for consideration.

Job Type: These positions are W2 consulting opportunities with hourly rate and no benefits.

Proficiency Testing Requirements: Online Developer skills testing will be required for interview consideration

Role and responsibilities include:
  • Work as part of an Agile development team developing and deploying software products supporting risk mitigation
  • Work across the full SDLC for design, development, testing, deployment, updates, maintenance, and optimization
  • Contribute to a collaborative environment working closely with analysts, testers, and stakeholders
  • Provide hands-on code development, code reviews, and support for deployment activities
  • Support continuous software quality improvement
  • Prepare end-user documentation and training
  • Other duties, as assigned

Requirements include:
  • U.S. citizen or Green Card Holder (sponsorship is not available for these positions)
  • Currently located within commuting range and availability to work on-site after COVID-19 health restrictions are lifted
  • Ability to complete an online Developer skills proficiency test is required for interview consideration
  • 2+ years of hands-on development experience supporting all phases of the development lifecycle
    • Multiple positions available at junior/mid/senior levels
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline; additional years of related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Experience with release management processes and software release strategies
  • Proven abilities to write well-designed, efficient, and testable code
  • Proficiency with Java frameworks and databases supporting J2EE design, development, testing, and deployment
  • Experience with J2SE/Core Java (Java 1.8 or higher)
  • Experience creating Java Microservices with Spring Boot (Spring Cloud is a plus)
  • Experience producing high quality code using Test Driven Development (TDD)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines working with Git and Jenkins
  • Experience with web service APIs using REST, JSON
  • Experience with AWS container monitoring using Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience with SQL RDBMS
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and experience working as part of a Scrum team
  • Current knowledge of technology trends and best practices
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to work in a collaborative environment

Preferred experience includes:
  • Experience working with NoSQL database applications (CockroachDB and Apache Cassandra) is a plus
  • Experience with application, data, and infrastructure architecture is a plus
  • Experience working with Twelve-Factor App methodology for SaaS applications or web apps is a plus
  • Experience with message-based and stream-based programming is a plus
  • Experience with microservice based architectures (OpenTelemetry) is a plus
  • Experience with software monitoring and performance using Peometheus, Dynatrace/Grafana, and similar tools is a plus
  • Experience with Kibana data visualization dashboards is a plus
  • Experience with Apache Groovy programming is a plus
