The Recreation Coordinator develops and promotes  sustainable programming by planning high-quality recreation opportunities, community and special events that are responsive to the community and appeal to a wide range of interests and ages at an economical price.
In this role, you will recruit instructors, volunteers, and recreation providers to establish seasonal programming and update the seasonal Recreation Guides. As the Recreation Coordinator, you will find ways to enhance customer service and improve processes and procedures. In addition, you will network with recreation associations, providers, and other stakeholders and conduct research to stay well-informed of emerging trends to provide evidence-based recommendations for procedures and future recreation projects. This multi-faceted role may entail training, leading day camps, providing coverage for clerical and reception duties and performing other related activities to ensure the success of the recreation program.This position works 37 regular weekly hours, including some weeknights, statutory holidays, and weekends.
