Description:Description / Job Responsibilities:The client is seeking a Specialized Developer IV who will play a primary technical role in upgrading its VMware vRealize automation suite (and existing code, workflows, and integrations) from version 7.6 to version 8.x (vRA, vRO, VIDM, VRLCM). In addition to this upgrade effort, the candidate will also support the automated Windows and Linux server provisioning platform (which is based on VMware vRealize automation) for the enterprise through assessing, designing, building/developing, testing, and deployment-related activities.Required skills:Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field required.10+ years of experience in code development and integrationExpertise in VMWare technology, specifically vRealize Automation (vRA) and vRealize Orchestration (vRO)Proficient with defining and executing upgrade plans from vRealize suite 7.x to 8.xDeveloping code using JavaScript, PowerShell, Linux Shell, REST API, vCenter API, and JSON.Demonstrated work experience on both Windows and Linux environments.Demonstrated experience in deploying, patching, and upgrading vRealize suite products/ infrastructureExpertise in integrating vRA/vRO with Puppet (or similar products e.g., Chef, Salt, Ansible, etc.)Expertise in integrating with various technologies and plug-ins using VRO, such as SQL, AD, REST, SSH, vSphere, etc.Work with various teams to understand processes and determine how to incorporate into the automationCommunicate technical procedures and processes to non-technical usersDevelop configuration and procedural documentation, as necessaryCome alongside less-experienced junior developers for training and knowledge sharingPreferred skills:Understanding of virtualization technologies e.g., VMWare ESX, NSX, vSphere 5.5/6.5/7.0, vRealize Operations.Expertise using vRealize Operations Manager, Life Cycle Manager, and/or Code Stream.Programming experience in Python and/or RubyVMware Certified Professional or some VMware-related certification- AWS is preferred
