Job Description

As a Federal Technology Architect I you will evaluate existing and proposed systems and system enhancements to determine requirements and ensure client integration solutions meet organizational needs. You will design and develop solutions to integrate applications between Cerner and federal client systems as well as create and document visual representations of systems and their inputs and outputs. In scope will be to partner with Cerner and client delivery teams to implement integration solutions within defined project scope. This role will also allow you to collaborate with engineering teams, development teams, client end users, and other stakeholders as appropriate. You will troubleshoot and debug system issues to increase integration performance and quality of data as well as optimize maintenance and deployments to ensure integrated functioning.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 4 years of total combined higher education and related work experience including:
    • At least 4 years of higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job
      • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering
  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with clinical data migration projects
  • Experience with FHIR and/or HL7 interfaces
  • Experience with API deployment and/or support
  • Experience with healthcare system interoperability concepts and methodologies
  • Experience with Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI) systems
  • Experience with relational or file-based database design and concepts
  • Experience creating project artifacts such as migration plans, data maps, ETL approaches, etc.

Expectations:
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to an already virtually approved location
  • Must be willing to travel up to 20% as needed
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
