Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in System Administrator utilizing System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and SC Orchestrator in a Hyper-v server and thick/thin end client workstation environment for Managed Software Services Release Operations.
  • Experience creating an approved patch management plan with government IA oversight which addresses vulnerabilities in a timely fashion with minimal disruption to daily operations.
  • Experience adhering to standards, deploying to a production enterprise environment throughout the deployment cycle of: notification, coordination, end point information gathering, actual deployment of the software, and the troubleshooting and resolution of any failed deployments.
  • Experience creating a plan and deploying update servers to remote locations to ensure all systems are patched within mandated timelines.
  • Ability to resolve a wide range of system issues, troubleshoot software, hardware, and network issues, and address trouble tickets and service tasks associated with SCCM deployments
  • Familiarity with Windows Active Directory and Group Policy Objects
  • Maintain records of daily activities, problems and remedial actions taken, and/or installation activities
  • Self motivated and self-directing with proven time management ability
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and strong written/verbal communications skills
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
  • Understanding of Agile methodology and DevOps tools such as Atlassians Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong understanding of providing Tier 3 Operations Support (troubleshooting)
  • Strong experience with PowerShell, VBScript, Batch, and other scripting languages
  • Experience with RHEL and/or CentOS

Requires 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or

8 to 10 years with MS/MA or

5 to 7 years with PhD.

Responsibilities This position is a critical role on a dynamic team that designs, implements and supports Windows Server infrastructures.

Primary Role
  • Provides technical thought leadership for implementation of security related guidelines/requirements as established by government policies.
  • Provides technical thought leadership for Windows systems and is accountable to define, maintain, communicate, and implement standards consistent with established infrastructure architectures and strategies
  • Ability to understand and analyze technical problems and develop workable solutions in a high pressure environment.
