Position DescriptionSerco-NA is seeking a motivated individual to provide business, financial, and programmatic support to one of our NAVSEA customers. Serco has an opening for an analyst, to support an active contract with the U.S. Navy in the Washington, DC area. The position is in PMS404, the Undersea Weapons Program within PEO Submarines. PMS404 oversees the design, production, delivery, and life cycle support of heavyweight and lightweight torpedoes.Duties/Responsibilities

Provide daily support to PMS404 Production Branch team.

Coordinate with PMS404 Production Branch Head, the Business Finance Manager and field activities to establish funding priorities.

Reconcile spend plans according to Resource Management Plan and weekly status reports.

Compile and submits Task Assignment Sheets to initiate financial transactions.

Provide biweekly metric reports to Business Financial Manager.

Track and reconcile In-Service funds obligation and expenditure status.

Assist Financial Analysts in resolving accounting discrepancies.

Respond to financial data calls.

Provide draft input for Congressional budget exhibits.

Reconcile Spend Plans to match the In-Service Resource Management Plans.

Coordinate with the field activities to establish timely receipt of reimbursable funds.

Track direct site funds sent out on ZFD PR Addendums.

QualificationsRequired :

Active or Current SECRET Clearance required to apply for this position

Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in accounting, business, finance, or related field is desired, but in lieu of a degree

Serco will consider a candidate with three or more years’ experience directly supporting a Navy customer in a business or financial capacity.

Up to 2 years of experience with Acquisition Analysis.

Knowledge of financial, accounting, and forecasting concepts.

Knowledge of DAR, FAR, and other relevant laws, regulations, and policies.

Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications including JAMIS.

Knowledge of Microsoft applications.

Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Desired:

Knowledge of the Navy’s Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution processes and policies.

Past experience supporting a DoD customer as an analyst is desired. Should be familiar with rules governing the different Navy Appropriations, with specific knowledge of O&M,N. WPN, and RDT&E accounts a desired bonus.

Practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.

Other DoN financial automated and budgeting systems to perform financial execution functions.
