Job Title: Architectural Project CoordinatorJob DescriptionAn Architectural Project Coordinator works closely with project managers to create comprehensive action plans concerning resources, budgets, and timeframes for projects. This role involves various coordinating duties such as scheduling and risk management.Responsibilities

Participate in project design meetings and propose improvements if necessary

Evaluate potential problems and technical hitches and develop solutions

Plan and manage team goals, project schedules, and new information

Supervise current projects and coordinate all team members to keep workflow on track

Manage project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed, and stored

Direct project correspondences by preparing and reviewing project proposals, memos, meeting minutes, and emails

Communicate with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives

Adhere to budget by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures

Essential Skills

2+ years of architectural/construction project coordinator experience, preferably with a focus on custom millwork, casework, and cabinetry projects

Experience with analyzing job requirements, defining project scope, and developing project timelines for submittals, fabrication, and installation

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Experience with blueprint and project management software

Ability to read blueprints, architectural drawings, and specification sheets

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Understanding of the fabrication and installation process of architectural millwork products

Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards on a construction jobsite

Ability to work without direct supervision

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction, or engineering preferred. Work experience in applicable construction trades is acceptable in lieu of a degree

Knowledge of Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI) standards

Work EnvironmentOpportunity to work on a hybrid schedule after 60 days of employment. Flexible schedule with project site visits. Local firm with the opportunity to work closely with the team and see projects all the way through design.
