Position/Job Title: Contracting Support II

Work Location: Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, DC

Job Summary: KaiHonua, LLC is actively seeking to fill our open Contracting Support II position. The candidate shall provide operations and executive assistance support for the Contracts division. This contract provides acquisition support to the projects managed by the Department of the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office (DAF RCO) which include advanced combat system acquisition and sustainment activities of interest to the Department of the Air Force (DAF). Many of these projects are critically needed national security capabilities developed on aggressive schedules with demanding performance requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance:

  • Planning and managing acquisitions for a variety of products and services for the contracts division.
  • Provide cradle-to-grave contract support, such as conducting market research, preparing solicitation documentation (pre and post award), reviewing proposals for compliance, performing cost/price evaluations, assisting with negotiating positions, reviewing and processing invoices.
  • Assist in developing acquisition strategies, including determination of contract method/type.
  • Perform contract administration, including, but not limited to maintaining contract file folders and preparing contract modification.
  • Assist the Contracting Officer in the oversight of contract performance.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of contracting for a variety of products and services for major systems, research and development (R&D), and/or complex programs using a wide range of contracting methodologies such as negotiated contract and commercial acquisition procedures in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), Air Force Acquisition Regulations (AFFARS), and other applicable supplements.
  • Possess expertise in managing contract actions from conception to implementation.
  • Possess extensive experience in performing source selections, cost or price analysis, negotiations, and preparation of related contract documentation in accordance with directives and policies.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience/Skills Required:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant DoD/IC or relevant industry work experience
  • Bachelors of Arts/Bachelors of Science (BA/BS) degree
  • Personnel shall, with limited technical guidance, assist, advise, and perform tasks by employing knowledge or experience to develop and implement solutions to diverse, complex problems
  • Must be a US citizen

Physical Requirements: Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have enough mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds, as necessary.

Security Clearance: DoD active security clearance may be required at a high-level security. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
