Position/Job Title: Financial Management III

Work Location: Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, DC

Job Summary: KaiHonua, LLC is actively seeking to fill our open Financial Management position. The candidate shall provide operations and executive assistance support to the Finance division. This contract provides acquisition support to the projects managed by the Department of the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office (DAF RCO) which include advanced combat system acquisition and sustainment activities of interest to the Department of the Air Force (DAF). Many of these projects are critically needed national security capabilities developed on aggressive schedules with demanding performance requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance:

  • Assist in the management of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) process
  • Provide staff support and perform analysis of program funding for all PPBE phases and other budget exercises.
  • Research and analyze program funding and execution trends data from sources such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
  • Identify issues, recommend solutions, and provide assistance in and advice associated with acquisition management of the SAP portfolio.
  • Support long-range financial planning and resource strategies.
  • Refines and implements processes for the obligation, monitoring, and close-out of contracts.
  • Review's justifications of all funding proposals and identifies optimum opportunities for meeting and exceeding program goals and objectives.
  • Works closely in procurement and acquisition to improve communications, flags budgetary issues of concern including End-of-Fiscal-Year deadlines, and cooperatively works toward program objectives.
  • Conduct financial systems analyses and modernization evaluations.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies in work process and innovative approaches to completing scope of work.
  • Develop financial analysis using large data sets.
  • Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and create operational and strategic level reports.
  • Possess proficiency in the use of Excel; experience with Classified accounting systems and Momentum applications is desired.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience/Skills Required:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant DoD/IC or relevant industry work experience
  • Masters of Arts/Masters of Science/Masters of Engineering (MA/MS/ME) degree.
  • Personnel typically work on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and perform all functional duties independently.
  • Must be a US citizen

Physical Requirements: Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have enough mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds, as necessary.

Security Clearance: DoD active security clearance may be required at a high-level security. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
