Job Description

The Insider Threat Analyst will triage anomalous event data and analyze insider threat program datasets to conduct threat analysis. The primary responsibilities of the Insider Threat Analyst includebut are not limited to the following:

  • Conduct comprehensive all source analysis in support of the Insider Threat mission
  • Triage anomalous event data
  • Access network monitoring, data analytic, and other tools, integrate available information, decipher underlying trends and anomalies, and discern obscure patterns found in the datasets
  • Produce all source analytic products in support of the Insider Threat mission
  • Aggregate, analyze and evaluate available program data sources to evaluate Insider Threat risk
  • Extract and organize data to build metrics, reports, case studies and trend reports
  • Conduct risk assessments and present findings to a variety of audiences, to include very senior decision makers; written and oral presentations
  • Conduct research to support on-going analytic efforts
  • Prepare and produce situational awareness and warning reports related to Insider Threat
  • Assist in preparation and production of analytical reports identifying area for efficiencies in production process
  • Provide editing and quality control of program products
  • Review Insider Threatinformation in support of meeting program mission requirements and timelines
  • Provide recommendations to contractor and government leadership on ways to improve the Insider Threat program

Qualifications

  • Active TS Clearance, SCI eligible
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an all-source analyst supporting tactical and/or strategic levels
  • Demonstrated experience with UAM capabilities
  • Demonstrated experience in reporting of insider threats
  • Experience with analytical problem solving and familiar with conducting operations relating to insider threat
  • Familiar with data analytics tools used for Insider Threat information collection or computer networks or knowledge of other Insider Threat risk scoring data analytics tools/programs
  • Motivated self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to create complex technical reports on analytic findings
  • Familiar with Splunk preferred but not required
