Description Job Description:Job DescriptionA Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) Threat Analyst will produce full-spectrum threat assessments for mission critical sites and systems associated with the entirety of the U.S. Nuclear Enterprise. This position requires considerable analytic flexibility and the ability to collaborate with numerous Intelligence Agencies, subject matter experts, and military branches to obtain information pertinent to the sites and systems being assessed. The analyst will write comprehensive threat assessments and deliver in-person briefings to high-level senior audiences. This position requires the ability to implement overlapping tasks and condense information into concise and meaningful assessments.Primary ResponsibilitiesThe NC3 Threat Analyst will scan and review daily reporting and finished products for possible threats to the U.S. Nuclear Enterprise. The analyst must conduct in-depth analysis of all threat streams to produce holistic threat assessments as well as identify single issue warning items. Any significant findings will be reviewed and possibly be used to produce a strategic warning product. The analyst will draft threat assessments that require daily contact with experts across the U.S. Government and cover foreign intelligence services, strategic forces, insider threat, emerging technologies, cyber, and environmental hazards to NC3 systems and sites. The individual will review threats to NC3 and use multiple databases to evaluate and guide collection efforts worldwide. The individual will attend meetings and provide briefings or written assessments as required. The individual will work in a team setting and coordinate workload with team members.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Requires a BA degree and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience.Basic QualificationsThe NC3 Analyst must be an excellent writer and be able to produce coherently written assessments on complex topics within reasonable but critical deadlines. These assessments are often a compendium of contributions from subject matter experts from throughout the government. These sections must be re-written and fused together into a seamless assessment of often more than 40 pages. Demonstrated ability to write complex assessments in an analytical style is critical. The analyst must have initiative to task outside agencies and ensure that contributions are made in a timely manner. Working well in a team environment is vital. Must haves are: writing skills, initiative, and team player.Preferred QualificationsHelpful skills include developing and presenting briefs to office leadership, knowledge of all the basic office-related software, experience using intelligence collection databases and a basic understanding of GIS, imagery and the collection tasking (HUMINT, GEOINT etc).
