IT Operations Manager

Manage IT operations and service delivery for a mid-sized enterprise. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Daily management of IT staff ensuring adequate staff coverage and completion of standard operational tasks (log reviews, backups, ticket reviews, checklists, etc.).
  • Implement and manage a standard IT service management framework.
  • Coordinate with other teams to ensure activities at all sites are properly communicated.
  • Monitor enterprise for service and system outages and communicate issues to management and end-users. In coordination with other IT teams, triage issues and promptly restore service.
  • Ensure patches are installed and verified on all systems in accordance with service levels.
  • Work directly with the hosted data center and other cloud service providers.
  • Provide end-user communication for service outages, system upgrades, service improvements, service implementation, and service retirements.
  • Develop standards for workstations, mobile devices, printers, and other devices.
  • Ensure escalated service requests are handled in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate and collaborate operational activities with all IT teams.
  • Coordinate projects across IT teams.
  • Coordinate system upgrades and software deployments across IT teams.
  • Provide capacity planning.
  • Identify areas for process improvements.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related IT operations experience in IT solution and service delivery. Minimum of 13 years of related experience if no degree.
  • Expert knowledge of IT standards and methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of Agile solution delivery.
  • Experience delivering service in a cloud (AWS, Azure, private cloud, etc.), hosted, and hybrid environment.
  • Experience managing to and achieving contractual SLAs.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple simultaneous projects and work across all levels in the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • PMP preferred
  • ITIL Intermediate Certified - Service Capability preferred
  • TS/SCI security clearance required
