CACI is seeking a Jr. Survivability Engineer to design, develop, and analyze new ship systems for multiple government customers in Washington D.C. The Survivability Engineer will provide support in modeling, reviewing, analyzing, and reporting out on survivability topics including ship susceptibility, vulnerability, and recoverability.

What You'll Get to Do:
  • Analyze new ship systems and design for our government customers
  • Create and execute test plans for surrogate and shipboard test
  • Support survivability design work and Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E) for ongoing ship programs
  • Work with a small team to support the ship Test and Evaluation.
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts to prepare documentation of test schedules, development testing and operational testing requirements, and provide updates to Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP).
  • Complete tasking under Government direction. Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings.
  • Analyze critical elements or performance of the design using analytic tools, model scale and full-scale testing, or prototyping as appropriate
  • Prepare reports of results and conclusions
  • Recommend and implement changes to designs based on conclusions
  • Identify and apply regulatory and customer standards, commercial and military standards, as well as classification society rules, to ship designs and modifications
  • Develop technical justifications in support of programmatic positions and decisions in support of planned events.
  • Learn survivability concepts and terminology on the job

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Exposure to shipboard systems and engineering experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Working knowledge of naval ships, their systems, and operations
  • Two years or more of experience in ship design, marine or ocean engineering
  • Good interpersonal skills to work with project teams and stakeholders
