Our government client is looking for a Network Engineer to join their team.Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.Responsibilities of the Network Engineer:- Responsible for network management and performance tuning
- Isolate difficult network problems with client CTO services
- Support patching and system monitoring
- Support System Operations and Management
- Support high priority requests from senior leadership with off hours support (On Call Duty Phone)
- Submission of firewall change requests in support of evolving system changes and additions
- Design and implement new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
- Establish networking environment by designing system configurations and directing system installation
- Secure network system by establishing and enforcing policies and monitoring access
- Install, configure, and support network equipment
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 10 years of experience
- At least 5 years of network specific experience designing and implementing major federal IT systems
- Experience and knowledge in principles and practices of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
- Understanding of IT practices, service management, governance frameworks, and industry standards
- Proficiency in business tools, such as, Word, Excel, Power-Point, Visio, SharePoint, Teams, etc.
- Ability to analyze complex data and present findings in a clear and easily understood manner
- Ability to present recommendations for consideration and influence
- Cisco CCNP Enterprise, Cisco CCNA, and Cisco Wireless certifications
