Piper Companies is seeking a Remote Cybersecurity Manager to join a leading medical device advisory firm and clinical research organization located in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities of the Cybersecurity Manager include:
  • Interface with clients to gather information and review documentation for correctness and compliance with regulatory guidelines in order to develop submission quality documentation for marketing applications
  • Conduct risk management and vulnerability analyses on medical devices and support manufacturer's cybersecurity strategy development, system testing and evaluation, and verification and validation efforts.
  • Review client documentation to identify and inform recommendations for improving policies, processes, and procedures based on new and/or evolving Federal standards, requirements and/or guidelines.
  • Develop, review, analyze, maintain and update internal security assessment tools, technical guidance, templates, workflows, job aids, and other security guidance documentation.
Qualifications for the Cybersecurity Manager include:
  • 5+ years working within information security or engineering required; healthcare and/or medical device experience preferred
  • Cybersecurity certification (CISSP, HCISPP, or similar) highly preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of information threat analysis and detection concepts and principles and impact based on industry best practices (e.g., NIST framework, ISO 27001)
  • Experience with designing, managing and/or implementing medical device cybersecurity policies and procedures is preferred
  • Experience with threat modeling, penetration testing, cybersecurity research is preferred
  • Experience in Compliance Requirements (e.g., ISO, HIPPA, FedRamp) is preferred
  • Experience drafting and distributing coordinated disclosures is preferred
  • Strong communication skills (this will be a client-facing position).
  • Bachelors Degree is a must
Compensation for the Cybersecurity Manager include:
  • Salary Range: $110,000 - $150,000 and Equity Options depending on experience
