Job Title: Senior Big Data Developer Job Location: Washington, DC, Work Experience: 10+ years Big Data development experience and BS/MS degree in STEM-related field Strong development experience designing Big Data solutions using Cloudera Hadoop technology stack including HDFS, NiFi, Hive, Spark, Solr, HBase, Python, Java/Scala Proficient in using Cloudera Hadoop (CDP) technology stack including Spark, Hive, Impala, HBase, PySpark, NiFi, Solr Develop new tools, code, and services to execute data engineering activities using on-premise Cloudera CDP platform Develop data ingestion ETL pipelines for extracting and storing structured and unstructured data in big data environments Collaborate with the team on new technologies and alternatives to plan and execute complex tasks Independently conduct work on the full-life cycle of data engineering to include analysis, solution design, data pipeline engineering, testing, deployment, and production support Technical Skills: Proficient in using Cloudera Hadoop (CDP) technology stack including Spark, Hive, Impala, HBase, PySpark, NiFi, Solr Strong development experience with Java, Scala, and Python Cloudera Certified Professional certification would be a plus Experience with RESTful APIs, DevOps, Linux
