Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for mission-related investing and developing relationships with Institutional Investors? RockCreek is seeking a senior member of the team to focus on client development for our Outsourced CIO business. Applicants should have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where creativity, attention to detail, exemplary communication skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit are essential to assisting institutions with achieving their long-term investment objectives.

The ideal candidate knows that growth requires a balance of creativity, relationship building, and investment knowledge to be successful. They will have proven experience in building new client relationships and developing and implementing a marketing strategy specifically for OCIO services. We are looking for an energetic storyteller, tech-savvy marketer, and skilled communicator who understands the institutional investor landscape and has worked in previous roles focused on OCIO services. The right person for this role is a team player, problem-solver, and idea architect with an ability to articulate and market the firm’s competitive advantages in the OCIO landscape The successful candidate for this role will need strong institutional investor relationships, have previous experience at an OCIO firm and be passionate about developing and bringing in new clients.

Qualifications

Key Experience

  • Academic background (or equivalent) in Marketing, Finance, Business, and/or Economics
  • Related financial services client development experience of at least 5-10 years
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure
  • Interest in markets and the economy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative approach to problem solving
  • Comfortable in a collaborative environment working with a diverse and inclusive team in remote locations
  • Passion for sustainability, education, clean energy, affordable housing, and inclusion
  • Proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Office365, Excel, PowerPoint) and WordPress, additional visualization software skills are a plus
