Linux Servers? Hadoop/ClouderaProgramming/Scripting languages for enterprise systems management, such as Bash, Python, Perl,Configuration management and automation tools including but not limited to Puppet· Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems, including patching and maintenance using Puppet/Red Hat Satellite, subscription-manager, yum/dnf repositories, etc in a highly-secured environment.· Experience working in a virtualized environment leveraging VMWare vSphere.· Experience with DevOps automation tools for servers, specifically Puppet, Git, CI/CD Pipelines, etc.· Experience compiling and installing COTS and open-source software on Linux systems, working with other teams to ensure security recommendations and monitoring solutions are in place for solutions.· Ongoing maintenance, monitoring, software updating/patching of systems and software as needed.· Experience with maintaining documentation, runbooks, process flows, etc for systems and solutions.· Build/Install new Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers· Configure OS and provision server with memory, disk and CPUs· Provide System Administration (SA) and assist client troubleshooting application running on the Linux systems· Ability to troubleshoot unexpected reboots, system instability, and performanceOther Desirables:· Provide System Administration and management of Cloudera Hadoop clusters in production and test environments· Solid understanding of YARN, MapReduce, Spark and HDFS·· Experience in investigating, analyzing, diagnosing, tuning and resolving Cloudera Hadoop issues· Employ “best practices” for deploying and maintaining Cloudera Hadoop ecosystem· Analytic Computing: SAS, R, Stata, MatlabVERY IMPORTANT - looking for specific analytics skillsUnderstanding of GPU computing, and HPC file systems like LustreBuilding R and related software - experience w GNU build process and toolchain, such as autoconf, make, gcc, ld, and related technologiesrobust understanding of ld and ld.so for Linux linkerSoft Skills:· Demonstrated history of self-learning and experience with Linux administration and related technologies· Self-motivated focusing on introducing improvements to the Linux environment· Creative problem solving· Excellent oral and written communication skills· Team playerTechnical Skills:OS - Red Hat Enterprise Linux Version 6/7/8+Configuration and System Management System - Puppet 4+Enterprise Authentication and Authorization: Centrify, LDAP, Kerberos and Active DirectoryStrong background in scripting and code development: Python, Bash or PerlAnalytic Computing: SAS, R, Stata, Matlab highly desirableHadoop: ClouderaVirtualization: VMware, KVM, or OpenStack VIVA USA is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to maintaining a professional working environment that is free from discrimination and unlawful harassment.
