Note: Work is onsite at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. Job Duties:- Advocate for cyber training, coordinate with the Military Services, DoD CIO, Joint Staff, and USCYBERCOM ensuring the cyber workforce has access to relevant and realistic training. Training includes individual and collective training, and supporting exercises.
- Execute and enforce existing DoD polices concerning cyber training and ranges.
- Review and provide comment on all requirements, fielding, and capabilities enhancements to the Persistent Cyber Training Environment (PCTE).
- Develop memorandums, information papers, talking points, and briefings for senior DoD leaders that communicate policies, positions, program information, requirements, and requests for action. Responsibilities will include both quick response and longer term assignments.
- Draft policy documents related to cybersecurity in a variety of formats, to include memorandums and instructions.
- Review, research, analyze, and communicate the potential impacts of proposed legislation on DoD policies, programs, and positions related to the cybersecurity readiness of Service members and families.
- Perform tasks including researching, analyzing proposed legislation, and preparing responses to Congressional inquiries and requirements.
- Pre-brief senior executives on cyber issues.
- Coordinates with the DoD CIO and USCYBERCOM for the agenda and actions for the CyTAC.
- Travel limited to about 10%.
- Bachelor's degree and 18 years relevant work; four (4) years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Have an active secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance.
- Demonstrated understand of overall cyber training. This includes individual cyber training executed by the Military Services.
- Understand the Persistent Cyber Training Environment (PCTE)
- Demonstrate knowledge of the construct and supporting training for the Cyber Mission Force (CMF), and Title 10 training.
- Demonstrated understanding of individual collective training supporting the Cyberspace Operations Force
- Strong communications and communication skills. Experience writing, reviewing, and staffing policy and directives. Strong attention to detail skills required.
- Understanding of the Persistent Cyber Training Environment (PCTE) and Military Training (MT).
- Experience as a staff/action officer (military or civilian) Experience working in cybersecurity related areas.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and balancing priorities.
- Work independently on customer site under general direction from management.
- Demonstrated understanding cybersecurity including experience in any of the following areas:
- Capture the Flag
- Pen tester
- Penetration testing
- Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)
- Cyber training
- Cyber "exercises"
- Cyber Mission Force
- Persistent Cyber Training Environment
- Red teams
