What You Will Do: The Senior Operations Project Manager will lead identification issues, executing initiatives to resolve them and address the root cause gap. The Project Manager of this program would need to demonstrate an ability to successfully drive operations by defining strategic direction, producing and executing operating plans, developing innovative experiences, and leading a team of operations resources to execute on those plans. The ideal Project Manager should have deep experience in operations and maintenance, have the ability for building relationships with internal and external teams, developing teams, and the ability to deliver results. The Project Manager must be flexible but action-oriented, and they must be capable of dealing with ambiguity, have strong analytical skills, and be comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The Project Manager should be a leader that can move quickly, who obsesses over clients and loves working with and using technology to guide decisions and prioritization. The Project Manager must also be willing to take risks to drive the right behaviors without the fear of failing.
  • Lead a team of operations professionals to maintain and enhance a mission system supporting a Federal Agency
  • Support organizations to respond to defects and provide assistance to stakeholders and users
  • Manage a release cycle ensuring the successful introduction of changes/enhancements into the production environment that does not introduce new defects
  • Focus on detailed analytics and recommend continued strategies to reduce defects, improve labor utilization, reduce cost etc.
  • Incrementally improve performance metrics

Required Skills:
  • Experienced in IT Operations and Maintenance with specific focus on delivery, improvements, change management, cost reduction, and increasing efficiencies
  • 15 years of IT experience with 7+ years of experience in IT management.
  • Operations & Maintenance Leadership
  • Full software development lifecycle with experience in CMMI, PMBOK and ITIL implementation
  • Service Now experience (or equivalent).
  • Experience in the successful execution and delivery of all IT projects and the transition into Operations & Maintenance
  • Experience in examining complex systems and advising on the development of specific cost reduction solutions and business case analyses to support transformation effort
  • Ability to make recommendations on how to capitalize on opportunities to improve O&M performance
  • Certifications: PMP, ITIL v3 Certification

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Manage team to provide application support to over 100+ applications
  • Manage transition of support services for new applications and new business
  • Maintain incident, problem, and change management procedures
  • Provide oversight for enhancement projects for supported applications
  • Experienced in synthesizing discussions into actionable deliverables and collect, analyze, and use data to make, recommend, or enable government decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted advisor relationships with clients
  • Experience supporting sales and business development
  • Experience with financial management

Years of Experience: 15 +

Certifications: PMP, ITIL v3 Certification

Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's Degree
