Your CareerWe’re looking for a software engineerto join the public sector Cyber Research team at Cortex, the team automating the SOC.
Our data collections architecture yields the best and most detailed global view into the device layer of the public Internet. Cyber Research Engineersusethesedatasets (ranging in size from gigabytes to petabytes)in unconventional ways to deliver criticalcybersecurity insights that helpprotectsome of the world'slargest networks.

Your ImpactSupport our mission to keep national security customers safe from malicious actors on the Internet
Develop new software or improve existing software using Python, React, and more to better leverage our datasets in the various missions of security automation, asset discovery, threat hunting and vulnerability discovery
Build prototypes that generate insights for customers and help to operationalize them
Lead the development of features, working with a Product team
Deliver your implementation to our customers, working with our customers and customer-success teams
Qualifications
Your ExperienceActive Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret /SI level Security Clearance is required
4+ years of experience as a professional software engineer or data engineer for a SaaS business
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
Experience working in a DoD environment including classified environments
Experience in software development, including some level of proficiency in Python
Experience with Golang - an advantage
Experience with React/Angular or other frontend frameworks
