About the Opportunity

DMI (Digital Management, LLC.) is currently seeking to hire a

Tester to serve as a support test resource for the Bureau of Labor Statistics Survey of Occupational Injury and Illness system modernization project.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conforms to defined standards & quality control procedures for testing
  • Follows a defined Test Plan to support project test activities
  • Works with team members to ensure proper formation of test scenarios and test cases aligned with system requirements including system components developed in SAS
  • Develops test scenarios from User Story content and discrete requirements to support the quality outcomes expected by end users
  • Develops test cases to support test efforts. Identifies:
    • Test preconditions
    • Necessary input values
    • Tests execution steps
    • Expected results at each test step
    • Expected post conditions
  • Performs Automated and Manual Testing
  • Develops Test Result Reports
  • Creates bugs (defects) to track close of priority bugs
  • Works with Developers to demonstrate negative test outcomes to support troubleshooting and development rework
  • Works with Customers to demonstrate positive test outcomes to support product acceptance.

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:

  • BA/BS Degree - in a technology related field
  • 0-2 years of experience in test role

Required Skills/Certifications:

  • Automated and Manual Test experience (aligned to functional, integration, system and security tests)
  • Experience testing SAS components
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with team members and customers.
  • Self-motivated, requiring minimal oversight
  • Proficient experience using MS Word, and MS Excel
  • Proficient experience using collaboration tools

Desired Skills/Certifications (beneficial but not required):

  • Understands agile frameworks and development techniques
  • Testing certification (i.e. CTFL, CSTE, Trusted Tester, etc)
  • Experience using SharePoint
  • Experience using Version One
  • Coursework or professional experience developing test cases
