Your CareerWe’re looking for a front-endengineerto join the public sector Cyber Research team at Cortex, the team automating the SOC.
Our data collections architecture yields the best and most detailed global view into the device layer of the public Internet. Cyber Research Engineersusethesedatasets (ranging in size from gigabytes to petabytes)in unconventional ways to deliver criticalcybersecurity insights that helpprotectsome of the world'slargest networks.

Werapidly prototype new capabilities,we improve our Internet intelligence through unique forms of data collection, and wedevelop, maintain, and use our own tools to perform threat hunting. Your ImpactHelp bring a new threat intelligence product to market
Design and build web-based analysis workflows using React and REST APIs (Python)
Develop novel techniques and approaches for understanding the Internet and characterizing data for insights relevant to cyber threat intelligence
Empower threat intelligence analysts at Palo Alto and its customers to counter bad actors across the internet
Qualifications
Your ExperienceEligibilityfor aDepartment of Defense (DoD) Top Secret /SI level Security Clearance is required
4+ years of experience as a professional software engineer building customer-facing software for a SaaS business
Experience designing and implementing user interfaces for data-intensive applications
Proficient in Javascript and/or Typescript
Proficient in frontend web frameworks, particularly React
Excited to work closely with analysts to build a toolkit for discovering and tracking APT campaigns across the internet
Prefer to ship features early and often. Experience with frontend testing methodology, CI infrastructure, and system observability for frontend projects
