Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical requirements, architectures, and implementation strategies makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused engineering solutions and approaches.

As a Systems Engineer on our team, you have the chance to shape the Navy client's unmanned operational capabilities by leading Engineering efforts across multiple workstreams and implement digital practices and initiatives for Unmanned Maritime System design, development, and acquisition. Your technical expertise will be vital as you develop strategies for system behavioral analysis, requirements verification and test planning, and interface integration and management for complex UUV and USV platforms. You'll develop your skills in modeling, simulation, and data analysis while gaining experience with unmanned and autonomous vehicles. Grow your skills by merging system engineering and modeling and simulation to create test and evaluation strategies that take advantage of emerging Digital Engineering capabilities. Additionally, serve as a systems engineering lead to develop technical solutions for a pipeline of engineering opportunities across the Navy to drive new business growth. You Have:
  • 10+ years of experience as a systems engineer with U.S. Navy ship platforms, combat systems, or C4I
  • Experience developing and executing Navy engineering strategies to achieve successful and quality mission objectives
  • Experience in working with NAVSEA in a leadership role navigating problems and solutions
  • Knowledge of the Systems Engineering Life Cycle
  • Knowledge of Digital Engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering
  • Knowledge of requirements, architecture, System-of-Systems design, and interoperability
  • Secret clearance
  • BA or BS degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Digital Transformation
  • Experience with Agile System Development
  • Experience using MBSE tools and the application of SysML, UML, UPDM, or UAF
  • Experience in systems engineering activities of large acquisition programs, including stakeholder requirements definition, requirements analysis, architecture design in accordance with existing DOD DAU processes
  • Experience in using and maintaining combat systems aboard U.S. Naval ships
  • Experience with combat or weapon system integration or operations of an integrated combat system
  • Experience with leading small to large groups, typically with competing priorities, through a technical problem ending at a defendable solution
  • Knowledge of key regulatory body rules, the DoD Acquisition process, including regulations, directives, and statutes, the Navy's application of the DoD Acquisition process, including contracting, and sea trials, or understanding of key Naval ship acquisition roles and organizations
  • Ability to work with managers on a technical level and translate information into actionable capability decisions
  • Ability to apply technical innovation and unique acquisition approaches to solve challenging problems for rapid client delivery
  • MA or MS degree in an engineering related field
  • INCOSE CSEP or PMI PMP Certification
  • OCSMP Level 1 or higher Certification
