Description
This Systems engineer will :
Develop, manage, maintain, and evaluate computer hardware, security,software and software development tools; evaluate their ability to supportspecific requirements and interface with other equipment and systems, determinepotential and actual bottlenecks and proposerecommendations for their elimination.
Make recommendations for systemimprovements that will result in optimal software and hardware use.
Telework may be possible.
Qualifications
RequiredCertifications / Critical Knowledge Areas :
DoD 8570 IAT III certifications
RequiredExperience : High level of functional competency with Microsoft Server 2012, Server 2016, and a variety of Linux Operating Systems
High level offunctional competency configuring and administering IIS web applications, Active Directory, Group Policies, andVMware vCloud Director
5 years of experienceadministering systems / networks with increasing levels of responsibility
3 years of experiencedeploying and administering Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Single Sign-On in Windows networks, Linux, BIG-IP and both custom and third partyapplications
3 years of experienceadministering Remote Desktop Gateway (RDG) and Remote Access Services (RAS)
3 years of experience implementing server STIGsand DoD policies in systems / networks
3 years of experience with application-based andstateful firewalls
3 years of experience with information securitytools and DoD Information Assurance practices
2 years of specialized experience implementingand administering Host Based Security Systems (HBSS) and Host IntrusionPrevention Systems (HIPS)
3 years of experience creating and maintainingiRules and access policies in BIG-IP
3 years of experience managing security patchdeployment for multiple operating systems and applications
Working knowledge of Security Information andEvent Management (SIEM) technologies (Splunk, SolarWinds)
Working knowledge of network and applicationmonitoring and analysis tools such as SolarWinds
Working knowledge ofvirtual environments (MilCloud, AWS, Azure)
Working knowledge of storageenvironments (SAN, NAS)
Ability to automatetasks using scripting (Perl, Shell, PowerShell)
3 years of advanced experience troubleshootingcomplex problems for numerous platforms, applications, etc.
3 years of experience configuring vulnerabilityscanners (Nessus, SCAP), conducting scans, analyzing results and performingremediation actions.
3 years of experience supporting a Risk ManagementFramework (RMF) including identifying and documenting security controlsapplicable to systems using NIST 800-53, control monitoring matrix, securityassessment plan, accreditation boundary and dataflow diagram and documentationof test results
3 years of experience tracking and remediatingidentified vulnerabilities through to completion within mandated timelines
3 years of experience configuring and maintainingenterprise level backup systems using disk based storage and deduplicationtechnology (Backup Exec)
3 years of experience evaluating externalvulnerability reports and web risk assessments and determining actions requiredto mitigate or close the vulnerability
3 years of experience performing audit loganalysis to identify threats and performance problems
