Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Traveling Telecom Technician to provide end-to-end support in telecommunications installing and testing at various locations within the United States. The Telecom Technician will perform tasks associated with on-site installations of telecommunication infrastructure.
MUST BE LOCAL TO AN AIRPORT AND OPEN TO TRAVELING WITHIN THE U.S. UP TO 100% OF THE TIMEMUST BE A CLEARABLE U.S. CITIZENResponsibilities of the Traveling Telecom Technician include:• Perform tasks required for end-to-end telecommunication system installation, configuration, and evaluation• Engage in telecom/data center environment installation practices such as the installation of raised floor systems, server cabinets and open racks, ladder racks, fiber troughs, and associated ancillary material• Travel to different site locations for up to 1-4+ weeks at a time to support various projects in the U.S.• Perform remote administrative support work when you are back at home before/after traveling to a project site.Qualifications for the Traveling Telecom Technician include:• MUST have convenient access to an airport and be open to traveling in the U.S. up to 100% of the time• MUST be a clearable U.S. Citizen or have an Active Secret Clearance• 3-4+ years of experience in telecommunication infrastructure installation in a telecom/data center environment• Experience in concepts and procedures in telecommunications installation• Ability to pass pre-employment background + drug testing, and have a valid driver's license• Ability to climb ladders of up to 25 feet, work on lifts of up to 40 feet, and carry loads of up to 50 poundsCompensation for the Traveling Telecom Technician include:• Salary Range: $60,000 - $85,000 depending on experience• Per Diem Payments: $55 - $75 per day (untaxed, daily payments for every day that you are out of town) depending on the city/state that you travel to• Estimated Total Annual Earnings: $75,000 - $105,000+ depending on salary amount, per diem rates, and number of days spent traveling• Full Benefits: PTO, Paid Holidays, Cigna Healthcare, Cigna Dental, VSP Vision, 401k with ADPTSKeywords: telecommunications, telecommunication, telecom, technician, electrician, travel, traveling, conus, data center, installation, install, telecom technician, telecommunication technician, telecommunications technician, united states, infrastructure, telecommunication infrastructure, telecommunications infrastructure, it, information technology, technology, technical, dod, department of defense, defense, security clearance, secret clearance, clearance, 100% travel, network, networking, networksVacancy expired!
