Job Description
Position: UI/UX Subject Matter ExpertLocation: Washington, DC.Duration: 3 MonthsThis is for an ongoing project, the period of performance is three months with possibility of extension. The ideal candidate must be able to use the expertise in user experience/usability to envision the art of the possible for our client. The candidate should be a hands-on product UX expert with experience in the digital transformation of federal agencies by designing creative and intuitive experiences and solutions that seamlessly blend end-user needs, stakeholder expectations, and technology.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in creating and implementing UI/UX design
- A proponent of human-centric design who can create experiences that put the user first and design for their whole experience, taking into account both what comes “before” and “after.”
- Creating storyboards and site mapping; problem-solving and optimizing data for the best possible outcome; and coding and troubleshooting using HTML, CSS and comparable languages
- Ability to work closely with our clients’ stakeholders to first understand their problem-space and mission and then collaboratively brainstorm new products, solutions, and/or digital strategies
- Serve as UX/experience SME for client discussions and workshops, and facilitate conversations to ensure stakeholder alignment on strategic solutions
- Design mock-ups and prototype low-fidelity solutions to drive alignment and excitement
- Continued education and research into UI trends and current design strategy and technology
- Proven track record in creating and redesigning products and experiences for a variety of clients
- Knowledge of grants management is a definite plus
