Job Description

MindPoint Group is seeking a motivated Vulnerability Scanning Analyst to support various cybersecurity related activities for our direct client in Washington, D.C., to include conducting anti-phishing exercises and vulnerability scanning, analysis, and reporting.

  • Prepare email templates for monthly Anti-Phishing Training exercises
  • Coordinate with customers regarding campaign scenarios, dates, and target list selection
  • Schedule, run, and monitor phishing exercises
  • Analyze results of phishing campaigns and prepare detailed and summary level reporting
  • Ensure compliance with phishing training policies
  • Configure vulnerability scanning tools
  • Review, analyze, and report on vulnerability scan results
  • Onboard and set up new customers
  • Ensure highest quality and accuracy of documents, reports, and services to the client.
  • Continuously improve and document key processes and activities in a Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) format for use by other team members and to enhance efficiencies.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Identify areas for improvement and ways to increase efficiencies including processes, tools, and templates

Qualifications

  • Active Secret clearance required
  • Experience conducting vulnerability scans, including configuration and use of tools such as Tenable Security Center
  • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity-related role(s)
  • Experience with email and/or SMS messaging abuse countermeasures, including use of COTS Phishing tools and related skills such as HTML
  • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, controls, standards, and best practices (e.g., FISMA, DFARS, CMMC, NIST)
  • Proven track record of identifying and recommending continual improvement initiatives
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
