Job Description
MindPoint Group is seeking a motivated Vulnerability Scanning Analyst to support various cybersecurity related activities for our direct client in Washington, D.C., to include conducting anti-phishing exercises and vulnerability scanning, analysis, and reporting.
- Prepare email templates for monthly Anti-Phishing Training exercises
- Coordinate with customers regarding campaign scenarios, dates, and target list selection
- Schedule, run, and monitor phishing exercises
- Analyze results of phishing campaigns and prepare detailed and summary level reporting
- Ensure compliance with phishing training policies
- Configure vulnerability scanning tools
- Review, analyze, and report on vulnerability scan results
- Onboard and set up new customers
- Ensure highest quality and accuracy of documents, reports, and services to the client.
- Continuously improve and document key processes and activities in a Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) format for use by other team members and to enhance efficiencies.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and team members.
- Identify areas for improvement and ways to increase efficiencies including processes, tools, and templates
Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance required
- Experience conducting vulnerability scans, including configuration and use of tools such as Tenable Security Center
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity-related role(s)
- Experience with email and/or SMS messaging abuse countermeasures, including use of COTS Phishing tools and related skills such as HTML
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, controls, standards, and best practices (e.g., FISMA, DFARS, CMMC, NIST)
- Proven track record of identifying and recommending continual improvement initiatives
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Excellent people skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
