Workday HCM Business Analyst

The Workday (WD) HCM (Human Capital Management) Business Analyst (BA) is a member of the Workday Service Center (WS C ) team in RAND's Information Services (IS) department.

The WS C is responsible for managing a broad portfolio of HCM and Financial applications, integrations, and reports delivered primarily through the W D cloud ERP platform.

The W D HCM BA must have strong human capital management experience in one or more ERP implementations and experience with at least (1) one Workday HCM implementation with solid skills in the W D toolset while maintain ing a rigorous commitment to quality , security, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and support WD Core HCM and/or one or more of W D Benefits , Recruiting, Timekeeping and Payroll modules - plus handle and manage WD service t ickets through prioritization and completion .
  • Help with, and may lead , the implementation of new modules and functionality including Learning, Advanced Compensation .
  • Ensure RAND continues to adopt new features via adoption of Advanced Planning

  • Gather business requirements from our b usiness c ommunity & management -and convert the business requirements to technical specifications to include reports creation/analysis for enhanced business analysis & system configurations.
  • Manage and build reports and conduct data analysis
  • Conduct root cause analysis to determine an appropriate action plan to include correction &/or escalation of WD break/fix issues
  • Define requirements for and test integrations
  • Maintain and enhance WD Security requirements /roles (creating/configuring/maintaining) as well as configuring/streamlining/reconfiguring Business Processes.

  • Maintain data integrity through all data transformations and transmissions
  • Participate and support prototypes and demonstrations of new functionality
  • As per management guidance s upport the WD bi - annual upgrades processes
  • Act as primary named support contact with W D -m anaging communications with W D Support
  • Collaborate and contribute to the W D community user groups

Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing and/or supporting W D Core HCM and one or more associated modules - benefits , recruiting, payroll, &/ or t imekeeping .
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in Data Quality and Data Transformation

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Excellent verbal communication , judgment, and interpersonal skills -plus the ability to work closely with HR and Senior Management throughout the organization
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • C ollaborative team player
  • Proactive , with a sense of ownership

  • Commitment to quality and attention to detail
  • Exhibit a w illingness to learn new functions and technologies

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/B S ) from an accredited college/university.
  • May consider W D /related experience in-lieu of a BA/BS degree.
  • Strong consideration will be given for candidates with a background in computer science, h uman r esources, f inance, or a ccounting.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of business analysis, technical business analysis &/ or technical financial s reporting.
  • Strongly prefer a HCM or ERP / W D HCM background.
