Aircraft Arresting Systems Lead - Qatar POSITION SUMMARY PAE is seeking an Aircraft Arresting Systems Section Lead for an upcoming contract at the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.This contract is pending award.The Aircraft Arresting Systems Section Lead will:- Lead the Aircraft Arresting Team at Al Udeid.
- Be responsible for training, maintenance scheduling, recurring maintenance and repairs to support power production personnel and others as assigned in the operation, maintenance and repair of Aircraft Arresting Systems.
- Operate and maintain BAK-12 and BAK-14 aircraft arresting systems.
- Conduct all job duties outlined in PWS to ensure professional and quality services are provided to Customer in accordance with program requirements, while maintaining safety as the highest priority IAW PWS, laws, codes, guidelines, criteria and standards established by international, US government, PWS and any additional guidelines.
- Be available within 4 hours to meet on the installation with Government personnel as required.
- Must have at least three (3) years' experience in operation and maintenance of Aircraft Arresting Systems.
- Requires at least three (3) years of aircraft barrier experience.
- Must have knowledge of the operation and maintenance of BAK-12 and BAK-14 aircraft arresting systems.
- Must have completed an approved DoD school in the operation and maintenance of aircraft arresting systems or equivalent commercial school.
- Must have a working knowledge of airfield driving with ability to obtain and maintain Flight Line Driving Certification.
- Requires at least three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or lead role.
- Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Must have a valid driver's license and current passport.
- Must have an Active U.S. Government issued Secret Security Clearance and maintain it for the duration of the contract.
- Requires the ability to successfully pass CENTCOM medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.
- Must be able to obtain a Country visa (as required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience providing excellent customer service in supporting contract responsibilities in an OCONUS environment.
- Relevant overseas experience, preferably in the Middle East with knowledge of local culture and customs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules and under pressure of deadlines while maintaining performance standards.
