Cloud Security Engineer to support the

Library of Congress IT Security Services contract

.

Additional Information:
  • Location: Washington, DC
  • Salary: Dependent upon experience
  • Available: Upon award, September 2021

Responsibilities

  • Architecting Cloud systems/environment security in support of program/project Cloud Architects, Engineers, and/or Developers
  • Creating diagrams, flow charts and any other security architecture documentation
  • Ensuring Cloud security (to include Cloud-specific native services and services frameworks) compliance with Federal information systems security processing and data storage standards and requirements such as, but not limited to, NIST, FIPS, FedRAMP, and possibly CNSS and/or CMMC (or similar, and as applicable) standards
  • Assisting/advising with/on tracking (including Plan of Action and Milestones; POA&M), (re)evaluating, and (re)applying for ATC and/or ATO for existing approved systems in the on-premises environment, for connectivity/integration/migration of existing approved systems to hybrid Cloud, Cloud, or multi-Cloud environments, and for new hybrid Cloud, Cloud or multi-Cloud environments

Qualifications

  • Must have one of the following certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, CASP+ CE, CISA, CISSP (or associate), GCED, GCIH, CCSP
  • A Cloud Certification in AWS preferred
  • Cloud Security Engineer must have at least 5 years of technical hands-on experience working within a cloud service provider
  • Cloud Security Engineer must have security expertise on cloud-based DevOps development and deployment as well as CI/CD experience
  • The Cloud Security Engineer should have, at a minimum, the CISSP
  • The Cloud Engineer should have at least one IT Security certification at the IAT II or III Level, preferably with a Cloud specific certification in AWS (i.e., AWS Cloud Practitioner)

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience required
