We are recruiting for a

Communications Expert with experience supporting the Veterans Admininstration for Veterans Health Administration Integrated Healthcare Transformation (VHA IHT) efforts. Qualified candidates will have in-depth knowledge of VHA and preferably experience working with VHA's Employee Education System (EES).Current VA credentials are required.

Location Note: This is a Washington, DC based effort and remote work from other U.S. based locations will be considered. Some travel may be required with this position (undefined at this time).

Role and responsibilities include:
  • Support VHA's goals for EES Organizational Transformation
  • Provide expert advice related to strategic communications for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Support current state assessment, benchmarking, vision setting, transformation planning, roadmap and implementation planning for organizational changes and improvements

Requirements include:
  • U.S. citizenship (Green Card Holders with current VA/VHA credentials will be considered)
  • Ability to obtain VA suitability; current VA PIV card preferred
  • Master's degree
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience as an expert in the communications field
    • Bachelor's degree + 4 additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a master's degree
  • Experience and corporate knowledge of large-scale communications in a health care setting
  • Experience with organizational transformation is preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with Veterans outreach and communication campaigns
  • Experience with media analysis regarding social media platforms
  • Demonstrated success developing and implementing communications campaigns in an integrated health care setting
  • Effective communication skills to work with a blended government and contractor team
