As a valued leader on our team, you will manage the work of a team who provide overall direction with technology products and processes; assessing enterprise functional needs and implementing technology solutions to support; defining strategic outlook; planning, directing, or coordinating operational activities of the unit with the help of subordinate executives and staff managers

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

The Enterprise Technology Risk - Risk Management - Advisor role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of technology risks to the enterprise with keen focus on Fannie Mae's digital transformation including IT architecture, cloud adoption/operations/governance (specifically AWS), disruptive technologies (e.g., artificial intelligence, block chain, machine learning, data science), DevOps, Agile, IT asset management, configuration and change management, incident management, networking, and systems development/ life cycle management domains
  • Leverage knowledge of the mortgage and/or financial services industry, technologies, and product types to actively identify, assess, respond and escalate risks associated with the technology risk domain
  • Review processes to reduce technology risk through rigorous and diligent analysis
  • Review, develop business strategies, and make decisions that will drive success in the face of shifting consumer behaviors and regulations
  • Understand, adhere to and bolster technology risk governance across the organizational landscape including the implementation of the three lines of defense model
  • Inform, review, and challenge (as needed) policies, standards and procedures for applications and infrastructure to maximize efficiency and minimize risk exposure
  • Partner with risk management functions to help ensure proper execution of established frameworks, policies, standards, strategies such as risk appetite and risk and control self-assessments (RCSA).
  • Comprehensively assess risks and gather insights from issues and events across technology business areas to provide an aggregated risk assessment.
  • Design, implement, and/or influence internal governance processes (includes reporting, issue management, policy/standard review, risk identification, risk assessments, and risk monitoring).
  • Confer with first-line management and risk partners to assess technology capabilities, analyze processes, and risk exposure to drive the implementation of appropriate risk management controls across the technology landscape
  • Works with first line to define, establish and refresh risk metrics and indicators for effective continuous monitoring of technology risk against Fannie Mae's risk appetite
  • Facilitate and oversee use of tools by which technology risk owners identify new, top, emerging, or changing risks stemming from business activities or external events. Tools include RCSAs, risk opinions for Key Business Decisions, and Material Risk Identification in accordance with policies and standards.
  • Contribute to monthly risk appetite reporting for Management-Level Committee and Board materials by developing and presenting risk perspectives on changing or out-of-appetite risk profiles for senior management audiences
Qualifications

Minimum Required Experiences
  • 6 years

Desired Experiences
  • 6 or more years of related Technology Risk Management experience or 1st line technology delivery experience within a regulated financial service, capital markets, insurance organization
  • Demonstrate process facilitation, and process management and improvement skills
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills in ability to identify, assess and monitor risk derived through execution of risk management practices, insights and use of Fannie Mae tools
  • Possess business acumen and credibility to help business line(s) proactively identify and address changing risk profile
  • Possess a mindset of continuous improvement as well as flexibility and adaptability
  • Excellent communication, relationship management and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent project management skills; self-motivated
  • Preferred Professional certifications within risk management, assurance, audit and/or technology (e.g., Certified Risk Management Professional, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information Security Manager, Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Data Management Professional, Certified Business Continuity Auditor, AWS, Agile practices, ITIL)

  • Skilled in AWS Management and Governance suite of products such as CloudTrail, CloudWatch, or Systems Manager
  • Experience using Salesforce CRM
  • Skilled in Python object-oriented programming
  • Skilled in Visio
  • Skilled in Active Directory
  • Experience using scheduling software to book events
  • Skilled in Amazon Web Services (AWS) offerings, development, and networking platforms
  • Skilled in AWS Developer tools such as CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodeStar, or CodePipeline
  • Skilled in Tableau
  • Skilled in Excel
  • Experience using JIRA
  • Skilled in ServiceNow to manage digital workflows
  • Experience using SharePoint
