Feasibility Studies Analyst - Suicide Prevention Programs
DC, Washington 20535 Security Clearance: U.S. Citizen, Current Security Clearance Skills: Veterans Health, Mental Health, Suicide Prevention, Hannon Act, Feasibility Study, Section 506We are recruiting for a Program Analyst to support feasibility studies for Department of Veterans Affairs' initiatives to provide best value healthcare and professional consulting services to the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). The Analyst will support activities for a study for programs in the Office of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention. Qualified candidates will have experience developing and implementing business processes for healthcare organizations, preferably for veterans. Prior experience with mental health and suicide prevention programs is required. Role and responsibilities include:- Supporting VHA in the analysis and evaluation of healthcare program effectiveness by measuring success, outcomes, and improvement programs
- Assessing program related variables that may affect the reorganization of suicide prevention coordinators and creation of a suicide prevention coordinator program office
- Assisting VHA in executing program operations to meet the previously established goals and objectives
- Conducting program reviews that consider operational impacts on suicide prevention programs and projected impacts on Quadruple Aim outcomes consisting of access, quality, experience, and cost
- Providing input on the program evaluation and improvement of the organization and management of projects and programs to increase productivity/program performance
- Assisting in the identification of program resources and development of program reports that focus on monitoring suicide prevention coordinators and case managers across all healthcare systems
- U.S. Citizenship
- Current security clearance or eligibility to obtain Veterans Administration (VA) suitability approval to access agency computer systems and facilities required to start work; current VA credentials highly preferred
- Bachelor's degree required; related discipline preferred
- 8+ years of related experience analyzing and evaluating program effectiveness and efficiency at the enterprise level including:
- 1+ year of experience leading a mental health program effectiveness evaluation, preferably for Veterans Administration
- 1+ year of experience leading a feasibility and advisability study, preferably for Veterans Administration
- Experience supporting substantive programs focused on Veterans healthcare, outreach, and suicide prevention
- Expertise in conducting program reviews and determining methods of improvement
- Ability to clearly communicate and exchange information with co-workers, teammates, stakeholders, and other personnel, as required
- Proficiency working across the Microsoft Office Suite
