Network Security Lead
DC, Washington 20536 Security Clearance: U.S. Citizen, Current Security Clearance, Secret Skills: IT security, vulnerability assessment, vulnerability management, risk management, cybersecurity, security software, Nessus, Foundstone, Archer, Tripwire, IAT Level II/III, C&A, IDS, FISMA, FedRAMP, scanning, ISSO, IAWe are seeking a senior level network security expert to work as a Vulnerability Assessment Team Lead in support of a federal government program. Qualified candidates must have project lead and/or supervisory experience supporting IT security, Information Assurance (IA), and risk analysis in an enterprise environment and extensive experience identifying vulnerabilities and weaknesses and reporting on findings. Related experience in a federal government environment is preferred. Location Note: This position will work remotely during the COVID-19 restrictions; with limited on-site meeting requirements. The primary work location is Washington, DC and candidates must be local to the area. Duties and responsibilities include:- Scanning all infrastructure and application endpoints (approximately 90,000 per month) to assess approved security posture
- Performing internal and external vulnerability testing at the enterprise level, including Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) certified cloud service providers
- Managing and overseeing the configuration of scanning tools
- Performing enterprise-wide detections of server configuration changes
- Preparing bi-monthly ISSO reporting for system changes and alerts
- U.S. citizenship
- Current secret security clearance (at a minimum)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Programming, or a related discipline required; master's degree preferred
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II/III certification is preferred
- 5-10 years of related IT security experience preferably supporting a federal government environment
- Related experience in a project lead, technical lead, or supervisor role is required
- Experience with Certification and Accreditation (C&A) and risk analysis
- Experience working with Tripwire Intrusion Detection System (IDS)
- Experience with Archer for risk management
- Experience working with vulnerability management security software; Nessus and/or Foundstone
- Strong knowledge of federal security privacy and controls including: FISMA, NISP, SP 800-53, DHS 4300, ICS 503
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to succeed in a dynamic environment
