Piper Companies is seeking a Full Stack Developer to support a large scale legacy modernization initiative in Washington, DC but will remain fully remote until post-Covid. The Full Stack Developer will be expected to maintain and enhance several applications in an AWS environment ranging from a couple of thousand dollars to many millions of disaster relief.
Responsibilities of the Full Stack Developer: • The teams are moving the applications to the AWS cloud - a hybrid development, QA and production environment • Use modern software engineering IDEs including Eclipse, Rational Application Developer (RAD) for design, development, and testing the software • Work with users in an Agile development approach to understand and document requirements in JIRA, then elicit feedback and refine solution through demonstrations • Present the solution at formal and informal design reviews, and document the design according to the Government's system lifecycle methodology • Largely legacy modernization (app. launched in 1999), roughly (70-30 front vs. back) Qualifications for the Full Stack Developer: • 3+ years of overall experience in Computer Engineering • Strong knowledge in at least one of these server side Java frame works: Struts 2 or Spring MVC • Strong Java backend knowledge and experience in one of these Java API/Frameworks: Core JDBC or Spring JDBC or MyBatis or Hibernate. • SQL knowledge and the ability to write common SQLs involving multiple tables. • HTML, CSS and JavaScript knowledge with the ability to develop Single Page Applications. • AWS: DevOps, CI/CD, EC2, S3, or etc. • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent years of experience Compensation for the Full Stack Developer: • Salary Range: $135,000-150,000 annual; depending on experience • Full Benefits: PTO, Paid Holidays, Health, Dental, Vision, 401k Keywords: Java, AWS, DevOps, CI/CD, ANT, Hibernate, Agile, Angular, React, full stack, full-stack, Spring, Springboot, Struts, JQuery, Bootstrap, SQL, JavaScript, .JS, Soap, REST, RESTful, API, Weblogic, Tomcat, Websphere, jBossVacancy expired!
