This position is to support the Department of Justice (DOJ) in Washington, DC.

The Help Desk Specialist analyzes problems and provides technical assistance, support, and advice to end users for hardware, software, and systems through phone, email, or chat. These individual resolves computer software and hardware problems of users, and acts as a contact for users having problems using computer software, hardware, and operating systems. The Help Desk Specialist answers questions, applying knowledge of computer software, hardware, systems, and procedures.

Job Responsibilities

Monitors and maintains the ticketing system for a financial collection software application. Provides tier 1 troubleshooting and support for end user issues. Responsible for escalating defect and enhancement requests to Tier 2 support teams with sufficient information. Supports the internal operations & maintenance team with identifying, verifying, and testing solutions and clean-up efforts. Uses incident management and customer relationship experience to resolve external user issues. Utilizes software such as SQL and Excel for data comparison/analysis. Collaborates with the internal training team to assist in the development of new training materials.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required.

Relevant Work Experience: 0-2 years of customer service experience. 1-3 years as a Customer Service Representative or Help Desk operator preferred.
