Application Test Lead - SalesforceOur client is a national trade association that is the leader in its industry. They can provide you competitive pay, an outstanding benefits package, a convenient DC location, a professional collegial work environment and an opportunity to work on issues of national significance.The Salesforce Application Test Lead‘s role is to build and maintain a Salesforce regression test suite; identify and implement test automation for a Salesforce front end and system interfaces; develop test scripts for testing new functionality and bug fixes; and work with application developers to resolve issues found in testing before deploying code for stakeholder user acceptance testing. The Salesforce Application Test Lead will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to improve the quality of our clients’ NimbleAMS and Salesforce applications and reduce errors/rework. In this role you will work on:

Salesforce/Nimble Application Testing (50%)

  • Develop and execute test cases for new functionality and bug fixes for both front end and system interfaces according to business requirements. Front end includes web browsers used by external customers for e-commerce transactions and profile updates, as well as by staff supporting customers and back-office functions. System interfaces span a growing Salesforce footprint (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and NimbleAMS managed package), websites (Sitecore, WordPress) Learning Management System (Cornerstone on Demand), Financial Management System (Workday), and other systems supporting business functions.
  • Work with application developers to test and resolve issues before code is promoted for user acceptance testing.
  • Build and maintain NimbleAMS and Salesforce regression test suites. Develop and track metrics for test coverage and quality.
  • Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues.
  • Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to team members and management.
  • Analyze formal test results in order to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.

Test Automation and Quality Improvement (30%)
  • Identify and evaluate test automation tools against pre-defined selection criteria with the goal of improving test coverage and reducing cycle time.
  • Implement and maintain selected test automation tool; Stay abreast of latest tool features and work with tool vendor to promote enhancement requests and support needs.
  • Develop functional automation scripts for regression testing.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
  • Make recommendations for improvement of applications to developers
  • Develop and implement Performance Testing requirements based on system performance data and stakeholder feedback on system responsiveness and behavior.

Collaboration and Communication (20%)
  • Serve as a member of the Business Analysis Team responsible for instituting quality assurance practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Support the IT Project Manager overseeing User Acceptance Testing with stakeholders by assisting with test case preparation and regression testing. Testing cycles are driven by NimbleAMS, Salesforce, and IT integrated deployment schedules.
  • Work with business stakeholders and IT Data Services to create test data for scenarios where production data is not feasible, such as events and email campaigns.
  • Assist in the development of change control processes, practices, and guidelines for new and existing technologies.
  • Serve as subject matter expert in testing of Salesforce/NimbleAMS footprint; Document test standards and provide consulting to IT and stakeholders on testing best practices (test case development and execution).

Educational and Technical Requirements/Experience

:
  • 8 or more years of IT and business/industry work experience including quality assurance, test automation, and systems lifecycle management.
  • Experience as a member of a team implementing Agile methods and DevOps practices with Salesforce platform (SalesCloud, ServiceCloud, Marketing Cloud) and NimbleAMS preferred.
  • Experience with implementing and operationalizing test automation tools on the Salesforce platform.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, by using correct English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Able to effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines.
  • Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies within a diverse environment, maintaining positive and productive relationships with all departments.
  • Knowledge of principles and practice of effective customer service.

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with Association Management Systems on the Salesforce Platform (NimbleAMS, Fonteva)
  • Salesforce Certification a plus.
  • Experience with Selenium Test Automation tool
This is a full time permanent employee position for our client. The compensation will be market competitive. The ideal candidate is located in the Washington DC area – as would like someone who can be on-site in DC at least 2 days/week.
