We are looking for Sr. Java Developer / Full Stack Java Developer (Min 8 years of exp) (Webcam interviews) POSITION DESCRIPTION DIRECT CLIENT Position Number of positions: 1 Length: 15 Months + Location: Washington, DC 20024 Immediate interviews Webcam interviews ONLY Please note that this position is HYBRID, 1-3 days onsite and rest REMOTE per week. 6-10 years of experience. Overall hands-on experience building Java web-based applications utilizing frontend development standards, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery and Java backend and middle-tier technologies. We are looking for a Java Full Stack Developer, who is highly experienced and comfortable with both backend and frontend development. The successful candidate will possess strong experience working with the Java suite of technologies and frameworks and have a proven track record of developing interactive UIs with frontend development tools and frameworks such as Bootstrap and React. In addition to proficiency using the standard web application development languages, HTML, CSS, JS, and JQuery, the Java Full Stack Developer will have exceptional knowledge of and experience with relational databases to include at a minimum, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills and be able to easily interact with both business and technical users. The Java Full Stack Developer should have experience as an integral part of all areas of the SDLC, to include Requirements Gathering, Design, Development, Testing, Deployment, and Production Support. DFS seeks a resource who has extensive experience building web applications in Java as a result of working directly with business users and understanding their requirements to implement features and functionality. The Java Full Stack Developer will be responsible for recommending changes to existing Java-based applications both frontend as well as backend services and infrastructure and will be expected to apply regular patches, debug, monitor, and test as necessary. Prior experience engaging with customers and developing performance dashboards that are end-user focused, data-driven analytic Java web applications is highly desired. - Designing and implementing Java-based applications.
- Modifying code of existing client legacy Java applications.
- Analyzing and assessing client legacy Java applications and environments.
- Gathering and Analyzing user requirements to inform application design.
- Writing well designed, testable code that incorporates the principles of user-driven development.
- Conducting unit and system testing.
- Providing Application Production Support
- Debugging and resolving any technical issues.
- Applying all regularly scheduled patches and Hot Fixes as necessary.
