Kids World is currently accepting applications for Aftercare Teachers for the afternoon, from

Monday - Friday 12:30 pm- 5:30 pm.

We are looking for a qualified kind and nurturing teacher for our preschool-age after-school program. Our preschool classroom has a ratio of 13 children for 2 teachers. Students in this classroom range from 3-5 years of age. Our teachers must have great love and patience for children.

At Kids World, we are dedicated to creating a nurturing, stimulating, and welcoming environment for all children. Our unique program follows Dr. Maria Montessori's learning method for children in the infant - preschool age group.

By always keeping the child’s best interest in mind, our beautiful environment allows for hands-on, experiential learning. In this climate, children love to learn.

Responsibilities

Assist with lunch clean-up

Receive morning reports from morning staff

Assist children with bathroom

Nap set-up and clean-up

Afternoon Snack set-up

Observing and soothing children during nap-time

Plan afterschool activities with themes, process artwork, music, and language immersion.

report information to parents via app, and newsletter.

be caring nurturing and loving

interact with children while respecting their space and comfort.

supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times

Collaborate with other educators

Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

Skills

Proven experience working with children in large groups.

Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods

Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms

Excellent communication and instructional skills

Ability to act as a mediator between children

must be comfortable communicating with parents

Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable

The balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen

Certification in child CPR

CDA or High school diploma
