Potomac Debate Academy is a quickly growing debate team in the D.C. metropolitan region. Started only in 2014, Potomac Debate Academy now has over 200 students, ranging from elementary school to high school. Students regularly attend and place in some of the most prestigious debate competitions, such as the Harvard University Forensics Invitational, George Mason Patriot Games, and Tournament of Champions. Most recently, Potomac Debate Academy was ranked #1 Team of the Year for Public Forum Debate in Middle School in the entire D.C.-M.D.-V.A. region. Our high school team has attended many elimination rounds around the country, even qualifying for the Ronald Reagan Great Communicator Debate Series Nationals competition in California.
We are looking for a debate instructor with experience in debate who is available on weekends and/or weekday evenings. Our compensation is very generous.
How to apply: Please send us your resume as well as a brief description of your debate experience. We are looking for coaches in a variety of different formats, including but not limited to Public Forum, Lincoln Douglas, Policy, Parliamentary, Congress, and individual speech events. Prior competitive debate experience and/or coaching is absolutely necessary. We will contact qualified applicants within 2 weeks.
