- Cloud/Cyber Architect with solid experience in system development and Cloud migration expertise for hand-on support of planning and executing a cloud migration solution with our client, cross-service teams, and third-party partners.
- The Cloud/Cyber Architect will work closely with the Program Manager, IT consultants, cloud solution architects and cloud engineers in supporting IT strategic goals, roadmaps, and business requirements into future state architectures designed to leverage the cutting-edge functionality delivered through commercial and private cloud service providers.
- This position is located in Washington DC metropolitan area.
- As a Cloud/Cyber Architect of a large Client program, you will be responsible for providing application and development full-service modernization and migration services for select client applications.
- This service encompasses detailed technical assessments of application code / data to determine the appropriate environment to best leverage the data application, and/or serves, the modernization and migration treatment, costs and timeline for migration.
- You will assist Project Manager to support new business development initiatives, including participation in development efforts, activities that will have a major impact on Peraton business operations.
- This position is contingent upon contract award.
- Provide varying levels of technical direct support for the modernization / migration efforts
- Develop a draft data architecture and application triage tasks while also developing the ADAT process.
- Lead for the identification of projects’ security requirements.
- Provides security recommendations for systems using Cloud services.
- Participates in network design reviews and security testing for the customer’s networks.
- Coordinates with system development teams to ensure network security standards are being followed and implemented correctly.
- Identifies additional security requirements, based on RMF or as the result of security issues that put the customer’s systems at risk.
- Reviews and analyzes new systems (hardware and software) and provides recommendations concerning their security.
- Reviews Security Requirements Traceability Matrixes (SRTMs), System Security Plans (SSPs) and other IA documentation for completeness.
- Provide client data and application/system assessment and prioritization (triage) for modernization and migration to the best environment, including Cloud Service Provider (CSP).
- Apply a repeatable, Agile Software Development and DevSecOps methodologies to perform the modernization / migration efforts.
- Maintain compliance with all appropriate and applicable cybersecurity regulations and measures as well as track, assess, integrate, and report on modernization and migration processes.
- Work closely with IT consultants, cloud solution architects and cloud engineers in supporting IT strategic goals, roadmaps, and business requirements into future state architectures.
- Contribute a deep understanding of Cloud/Cyber intelligence functions, including traditional analysis and products developed to support client customers.
- HS plus 6-8 Years or BA/BS plus 0-4 Years.
- Expertise in performing engineering analysis and issue resolution.
- Analyze and develop CONOPs, system architectures, and requirements.
- Develop specifications, drawings, and other engineering artifacts.
- Experience supporting process engineering and optimization activities.
- Experience with migration applications to AWS/MS Azure specific cloud services.
- Experience delivering Cloud/Cybersecurity services in a fast-paced Client program, providing support on a 24x7x365 basis.
- Experience with Cloud/Cyber technologies and capabilities, including continuous monitoring, incident response, advance threat hunt, secure Cloud and mobile capabilities, on-going assessment, Network Access Control, and Cyber threat.
- Experience with Client Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) strategy, Client Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance, and other Cyber policies.
- Skilled in multiple programming languages and familiar with Agile development approaches.
- Experience in system integration and technical planning.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- AWS/MS Azure Certifications.
- Experience managing integrated commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions, including software-as-a-service (SaaS) offerings.
- Experience with DevSecOps, Agile Software Development experience, and familiarity with the client Data and Application Triage (ADAT) process.
- 10+ years of recent experience in Cloud and IT transition, transformation, and migration management, preferably with mass migrations technology.
- Experience managing and maintaining application code in an active portfolio.
- Knowledge of emerging NIST Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) standards.
- Experience maintaining compliance with security requirements and sustaining Authority to Operate (ATOs) in concert with customer requirements.
