Job Description:
  • Senior Full Stack Developer with solid experience in system development and Cloud migration expertise for hand-on support of executing a cloud migration solution with our client, cross-service teams, and third-party partners.
  • The Senior Full Stack Developer will work closely with the Program Manager, IT consultants, cloud solution architects and cloud engineers in translating IT strategic goals, roadmaps, and business requirements into future state architectures designed to leverage the cutting-edge functionality delivered through commercial and private cloud service providers.
  • This position is located in Washington DC metropolitan area.
  • As a Senior Full Stack Developer of a large program, you will be responsible for providing Data Architecture development and support, client data and application/system assessment and prioritization (triage) for modernization and migration to the best environment, including Cloud Service Provider (CSP).
  • You will provide application and development full-service modernization and migration services for select client applications, programmatic and business process workshops, process diagramming/mapping, and associated systems services that will have a major impact on Peraton business operations.
  • This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expertise and direction in the development and/or modification of computer-based scientific, technical, and business software systems.
  • Use expertise to design develop, code, test, and debug software.
  • Work in one or several areas, such as equipment or software design, engineering evaluation or test, configuration management procedures, statistical analysis and modeling.
  • Work with users to define existing or new system scope and objectives.
  • Provide analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases.
  • Plan and schedule new applications systems projects with user, systems software, and computer center operations personnel, including the identification of objectives, time frames, costs, and manpower requirements.
  • Perform tasks necessary to ensure the identification and documentation of hazards within software systems using various analysis tools and techniques.
  • Review and evaluate systems and software for adherence to commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software safety and systems safety.
  • Confirm design mitigations are captured in the design and its documentation and verifies implementation.
  • May perform as a project lead with the responsibility for the instruction, assigning, direction, and monitoring of the performance of assigned systems developers / analyst working on a specific project.
  • Provide Cloud architecture, security configuration, and programming advisement expertise.
  • Work closely with IT consultants, cloud solution architects and cloud engineers in translating IT strategic goals, roadmaps, and business requirements into future state architectures.
  • Be responsible for meeting operational service level objectives, metrics, and subcontractor management.
  • Engage customers to help define future requirements, identify technology insertion candidates, propose joint technology pilots and demonstrations, and engage leads and contractors in support of the customer’s cybersecurity mission.
  • Contribute a deep understanding of Cloud/Cyber intelligence functions, including traditional analysis and products developed to support customers.
  • Additional responsibilities include staffing plan, workflow development, implementing CMMI and ISO best practices across a large, multi-faceted program and developing performance dashboards, conducting market surveys, and introducing new processes, workflows, capabilities, and tools into the customer’s environment.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
  • HS plus 11-14 Years, BA/BS plus 5-10 Years, or MA/MS plus 5-10 Years of experience.
  • Has developed and maintained manuals, drawings, and/or system specifications.
  • Skilled in multiple programming languages and familiar with Agile development approaches.
  • Experience with application/cloud designs, programmers and developers to determine project scope and direction to evaluate existing cloud migration solutions (e.g. re-hosting, re-factoring, re-platforming, etc.).
  • Familiar with designing, developing, deploying, testing and evaluating software applications.
  • Experience with migration applications to AWS/MS Azure specific cloud services.
  • Experience in system integration and technical planning.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience managing integrated commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions, including software-as-a-service (SaaS) offerings.
  • Experience managing and maintaining application code in an active portfolio.
